A short performance lecture about the interactions of sound and image in film. The lecture is based upon an idiosyncratic selection of sources such as Nanook of the North, Átame, Fitzcarraldo, Star Wars, The Marriage of Maria Braun, Indiana Jones, Georg Solti, gated reverb, The Heart of Darkness, Dire Straits and the Balkan Conflict.
